Sari told me that she realised that the Little One now can really comprehen the stuff she has been saying to him. In the past, whenever we say, "no" or "cannot" , it was a hit miss most of the time with him, we think, choosing to disregard what we are saying. Now, he actually stops in his tracks when we say "cannot" to stop him from doing something dangerous.
He will call for milk saying "neh neh" when he wants to take his milk and go for his nap and will complain if Sari is slow in making the milk :) hahah.. quite funny i tot.. Sari says he will stand by the kitchen table where the milk is kept and keep pointing "neh Neh" and stamp his feet if you are too slow. Then once u have the bottle of milk in hand, he holds your hand and leds you to the room where he will climb on the bed and wait for his milk!
Think he is teething again cos the drooling tap is on already...thankfully he is still eating like a horse!

Wedding at St Regis
So the day after the laksa party, feeling all sinful and guilty.. we trooped down to yet another feast at TK's wedding at St Regis! Hahaha... weekend of food man!
Was minful that the invite stated a formal dress code. And had to translate that into little toddler style. Felt that since we were not the VIPs, a shirt and pants combo should suffice for the Little One. Didn't want him to be uncomfortable at the event too since it was probably going to be long and it was the first wedding event that he has attended! Thankfully it was lunch.. would have left him at home if it was dinner cos i seriously doubt he could survive through the night.. or rather should i say, dont think we, as parents would have made it in one piece.
A check with the Little One's wardrobe mistress, aka Sari showed that he was seriously lacking in the shirts department. Hahah... guess he has been outfitted in t-shirts for most of the times cos u know kids get into all kinds of activities that make shirts not so, errhm.. economical? Anyways, since he is all 1.5 years old now, figured it would be about time for his first shirt. So there - one short sleeve version, modelled by yours truely... pale blue with greenish strips, matched with the latest cream pants. doesn't he look cool?:) Hairstyle by mummy!
Here's a close up look at our super model who is trying to give a half grin....hair starting to go out of shape even before we leave the house.

With a toddler in tow, we made it just on time to the wedding ceremony. Missed the reception cos you know, its tougher getting us all 3 ready in time and out of the house. The Little One was super excited and kept blabbing about the lights and everyone around him. In general, he was a very good boy and well behaved. Except that we had to take turns to bring him for walks around the ballroom and at the foyer.
Here's one with The Big One who wore a brown suit to match his son's cream pants! Does that even make any sense?
And here's one with mummy :) After we took this picture, the Little One threw up a bit cos i think he drank too much water. So he had a fashion changed just like the couple. Sorry no pictures cos the 2nd outfit wasn't as matching as the first and yes, he went back to T-shirt and berms!
Well done Little One, you were such a good boy and was a joy for that 4 hours wedding lunch!
Granddad's birthday
Welcome to the month of October :)
its quite a special month for us cos its the birthday of 4 members of the family:
1. My Dad
2. My Mum
3. Myself
4. The Big One - on the same day as my mum!
Growing up, only my sister had a different birthday month so she got the individual party whereas i got the group version!!
So this year, i was wondering, hmm, how could i make it more interesting? then realised that October is also the Little One's 18 month birthday! He is now officially big enough to go for playgroup class :) and is also now 1.5 years old. Hurray!
To celebrate, Sari and I decided to throw a small home laksa party.. yummy! We bought some good old prima laska mix and made up a few bowls of this steamy delight!
It was just us at home.. minus the Big One who somehow had a mobilisation exercise the day after he just completed his 3 weeks reservist. Anyway, more cake for us!
It was fun celebrating at home! Happy Birthday to all of us :)

Yes, No, Please, Thank You and Go!
The past few days, the Little One has been practising these new words..
Now, he can sign Please and Thank You but only when you do it along with him or when he really really wants something.
He shakes his head and says "No no no no" sometimes continuously.. quite funny at times and says, Yes , when he wants something.
But the new word for yesterday was "go go go go go".. he was "go go going" everywhere in the house. :)

Sunday Obstacle Course
Most of you know how crazy the Big One is about the Army. Always tell him that i think he is the most "on" reservist ever. But did u know that he is training the Little One at Home for the army already? Every Sunday, he builts an obstacle course for the little one at home, courtesy of my now very old and torn up and beaten up sofa cushions. Its like a play heaven to the Little One, something that only he gets to do when daddy is at home. Except that last Sunday, the Little One decided that "attacking" his father would be a greater challenge!

Happy Children Day
:)Its the Little One's 2nd Children Day and i decided to take child care leave to have a fun day with him.
First stop, to the doc review where he was given the all clear.. the bad weather lately, with the bad haze and erratic rains caused his sensitive nose to act up. Luckily his blocked nose didn't get worse. Was reminded that he was overdue for his MMR jab but discussed with the doc and decided that we will get that done in about 2 weeks time, once he is all well again.
Then it was off to Aunty Susan's house again! Ginger, her dog wasn't at home cos he was off for a grooming session but the Little One still had loads of fun climbing up and down the steps and of cos, peering into the dog house to look for the dog! think he was a bit dissapointed that there was no dog this time around. He had some fun with the fountain and even went to Aunty Dorren's place for a short kids party.
Noticed that The Little One is quite comfortable at Aunty Susan's place, no doubt cos he is quite a regular there :)and am happy that he did not show any fear. Hopefully he will continue this when he starts school next year.
