Cooking ...

Saw that he quite enjoyed playing cooking at A's place 2 saturdays ago. Even at home, the Little One is forever bringing out all the real pots and pans from the kitchen and mixing and stiring imaginative stews. Guess we all think that he wants too, to be meaningfully occupied whilst watching Sari cook?

So when i saw that a Kitchen Set was on sale at Toys R Us, i was super tempted. Ok, tempted enough to go out, with a toddler in tow,with my sister to brave the crowds at the store. The actual plan was to leave the Little One in my sister's care at her office whilst i go over to buy the set. Of cos that didn't happen cos he was refusing to let me leave, so told my sister, "errh, no choice.. i go first, then join u later."

The set i had in mind was from Mix and Match. Its a set that comes with a kitchen stove, an oven, and a sink. The good thing about this set is (other than its sale price), it allows u to assemble the kitchen in like 5 different ways.

Lugged it all the way back, with sister's help and had to wait for the Big One to get home to fix it together. And since the Little One was homegrounded thanks to his nose, we tot, why not.. let him play cooking.

This is one version which the kitchen stove joins the sink.

The Little One had lots of fun opening and closing the oven door and the "fridge" door. Keeping away all the cups and plates and even some food items inside. But what he likes best is the stove.. it has some light and sound when u turn it on.

Two days after we assembled the set.. the first day mummy and daddy went back to work.. and the Little One officially proclaimed that the kitchen set shall be in the real kitchen. He dragged parts of the kitchen into the real kitchen and started to cook!.
