Photos from the Brunch at Spruce

Have heard and read so much about Spruce that when the cousins wanted to have brunch one day to catch up, and that the place had to be central (not in the east!!), immediately tot... why not let's try Spruce!

Situated at Phoneix Park, near Depmsey , it was the first time i have been there in ages. The Big One was on reservist that weekend so it was just be and the Little One. Caught a cab, lugging one heavy toddler and one bag containing his lunch and off we went to explore!

It was a bit confusing when we got there cos the taxi driver couldn't find the entrance to the resturant and it was starting to rain. Luckily managed to get to Spruce all in one piece and was the first one there too.. says much of my time management skills :)

Since the rest were on the way, i decided hmmm.. maybe just feed him his lunch first so that i wouldn't have too hungry a toddler to manage. It was good that i decided to bring his lunch cos the rain caused a temporary power shortage! OMG.... luckily i packed his meal.

Must say that Spruce is very child friendly, with all the high chairs, kids utensils. and even a small outdoor playground. One complaint that i have is that the service that day wasn't quite up to mark. Perhaps it was becos of the power situation.. some of the service staff were quite stressed up.

Luckily the power was restored by the time the rest of the cousins got there. The Little One had the chance to play a bit with his cousin LX, who is about 10 months older that him. Am playing babysitter that day was Jonanthan who the little One quite took too.. he brought him to the playground and the little one went without any tears!

Here's a cheeky photo of the Little One and Jonanthan.. think the Little One was trying to be cheeky when i told him to roar!

Wouldnt say much of the food except that the portions were big.. it wasn't as memorable as i tot it would have been, given the rave reviews. But we both enjoyed the time there with the cousins very much :) till the annual xmas party then!
